Jenny Baker is a freelance writer and creator of resources with a background in teaching and youth work. She is a member of Grace, an alternative worship community in Ealing, London. She is a triathlete and a Greenbelt trustee, loves cooking and has just discovered the joy of allotments. Jenny writes the Sophia Blog on the front page of the website
Richard Bromley is the Director of Local Ministries for Youth for Christ, overseeing the development and growth of centres around the UK, as well as a member of the Youthwork Executive. He's married to Denise with two children, Sarah and Ryan.
Emma Darby is the Youth Pastor at Twynham Church for the Community. Born and bred in Sussex she now lives and works in Dorset. She loves sailing, p.j.’s, chocolate & has been occasionally seen at the gym!
Ruth Hassall works for CPAS as the Leadership Development Adviser with a focus on youth. This primarily involves heading up the Growing Leaders programme and creating a new Growing Leaders resource for developing teenagers in leadership. Ruth trained in primary education and following graduation became the Youth Pastor at St Thomas’ in Lancaster where she had responsibility for the 0-18s. After 5 years there she was appointed as the National Children’s Adviser for CMS. Ruth joined CPAS in 2004, is part of the youth leadership team in her home church and loves leading Falcon camps for 11-14 year olds. Ruth reads widely, enjoys times with friends, loves shoes and is passionate about developing leaders of all ages.
Ruth Lovell was born in Uganda and moved to London aged 10. She is a wife and mother of two gorgeous children. A qualified evangelist, she has a passionate desire for young people to know the love of God and for them to be all that God has created them to be. Ruth currently works as a youth worker and team leader for Waltham Forest Youth for Christ. She loves reading, watching films with the family and is madly in love with JESUS.
Sharon Prior is a freelance trainer, leadership coach and mentor. She lectures in several Bible colleges in England on youth work courses, helping students to be more effective in their work for God. She is a volunteer in her local church, Bransgore Community Church where she co-ordinates the youth and children’s work. In her spare time she is an aerobics instructor, loves walking on the beach and eating Chinese food.
Jo Taylor lives in London with her husband Steve, son Hudson (who is one, fabulous and a frequent attendee of Sophia meetings) and 1978 VW camper Molly. She is employed by Tearfund as London Youth Co-ordinator and is also on the leadership team of Anya UK, a network that seeks to encourage and resource intentional investment in young women. Jo is passionate about The West Wing, baking, justice and seeing young women raised up in leadership.
